How It All Began…
Sunrise Window Cleaning Inc. began in 1983 when I was laid off from my job at the copper mines. My wife Nancy had her own business cleaning houses. She had many customers who wanted their windows cleaned and since she is only 5’ tall, this was a challenge for her. She said to me one day, “Why don’t you learn how to clean windows? As tall as you are, (6’4’) it would be easy for you.” I thought, why not? So, with the few window cleaning tools she had I set out learning what I could. It didn’t take long before I needed someone to run the office so I could concentrate on my work in the field. Nancy discontinued the house cleaning and took over in the office. That’s when we really got busy. I got lucky and hired a very experienced window cleaner who really taught me a lot the tricks of the trade. Here we are, over 34 years later and we still love what we’re doing.
Of course, a lot has changed over the years: employees, tools and equipment, vehicles, etc., but we’re going strong, and I’m proud of what we have accomplished. We strive to do quality work at competitive prices and guarantee customer satisfaction. We’ve met some challenges over the years (how to get to that window, finding quality employees, etc.), but not too many that we couldn’t overcome.
